Casual use of the word "Research"

Here I am back with another rant post. This time its about the casual,loose use of the word "Research". I have started noticing people use this word for every trivial thing they search. Like for example, a few days back, one of my distant distant relatives was about to welcome her uncle in the US. She wanted to take him to Niagara falls and treat him to some chinese food. Being a vegetarian she had to "Research" and find out chinese hotels in Niagara. Now come on....Thats not research...It's a simple Google search !!!
I am fed up and going to research about downloading a Mohan Lal movie.
